  17. Consider for a moment. If you are an IRC newbie (me) and you happen get
  18. logged into a server for the first time(Undernet), where do you go? Well,
  19. since i happen to  own an amiga, and i dont know where to go    i type in
  20. AMIGA!!!
  21. Nothing secret about that. Amiga is certainly not a secret word to me, It
  22. is the obvious choice for clueless users who are just discovering IRC. It
  23. does not promote good intentions when the first place i successfuly enter
  24. kicks and bans me for asking a question about an amiga app. DOES THIS
  25. SOUND LIKE AMIGA USERS WHO ARE TRYING TO KEEP THE DREAM ALIVE? not hardly.

  27. Oh , and about the lists you mention, there are so many channels on
  28. undernet(5,000+), that i got kicked just asking for it. Because of this, i
  29. had to guess at what channels were actually there, Hence the Amiga name
  30. sprang to mind. Too bad it is mostly full of jerks who are not all
  31. interested in furthering amiga prescence in IRC. in fact, their actions
  32. seems to discourage interest. IE - Newbies go away!  If they are doing
  33. that, just imagine how many other newbies have given up on the best amiga
  34. resource that exists , in real time.

  36. But i thank you for the amigacafe name, i will go there, and to hell with
  37. our namesake channel. Are you sure #amiga is not full of PC ops?
